Despite being legally required by the EC, #Apple continues to obstruct effective interoperability. Out of 56 requests, not a single one has resulted in a new interoperability solution. Developers are denied access to Just-In-Time-Compilation, NFC, or Bluetooth Low Energy Audio with arguments contradicting Apple’s own documentation. And there is the constant fear for developers to lose their developer accounts.
The #DMA must be implemented in a developer-friendly way, ensuring that legal obligations translate into fair and equal access to #iOS and iPadOS features.

See more in that report from my great @fsfe co-workers @llas and @dario : Apple keeps challenging its interoperability obligations under the DMA" https://fsfe.org/news/2026/news-20260420-01.html
Who could have thought that Apple wouldnt just accept and implement the DMAs requirements?
Id be surprised if it ever got fully done without any eternal legal battles...
And Apple really did not need to go along this path. Same as it never needed to overcharge for products. When you sit on a pot of a trillion dollars, you can make better decisions.
