Erst die Datenlayer vom geoportal berlin in Qgis anzeigen, dann diese herunterladen als kml. Anlagenbäume und Straßenbäume sind separat im geoportal.
Dann die kml in JOSM öffnen, das dauert erstmal etwas. Die kml Datei dann als .osm Datei speichern.
Die .osm datei mit meinem python script umformen. Dort ändere ich die tags und metadaten, damit sie dem OSM standard entsprechen, bzw. als zu löschen markiert sind.

When it comes to mapping, I think a large part of the struggle for it is my obsessive compulsive disorder. I’m writing this post because I think it’s unique and I haven’t stumbled across any other posts like this.
For starters, obsessive compulsive disorder is “a common, chronic, and long-lasting disorder in which a person has uncontrollable, reoccurring thoughts (“obsessions”) and/or behaviors (“compulsions”) that he or she feels the urge to repeat over and over”.
For me, that could mean asking questions like these when doing mapping:
“Do I need to put the city, post code, and state for each address I put in, regardless of whether I know the full address or not?”
“Do I always need to mark if the place is vegan, vegetarian, air conditioned, smoke free, etc.”?
“Do I need to perfectly realign the buildings using JOSM?”
The way things are right now, everybody has their own mapping style. For instance, some people may put a place’s post code and city, even if they don’t know the house number. Some people may put if a place is air conditioned or not.
The reality of the situation is that OSM is not used extensively in the US. So every time a POI is added to the map, it may not be extensively detailed. And even if it is, chances are unless there are some really dedicated mappers out there, that info will become obsolete within a few years because nobody will update the data.
When it comes to OSM, I started to work on the project because I felt it had potential. A potential to become something high quality and really detailed. The sad thing is, I focused so much on that level of detail (mainly with POIs), that I burned myself out on mapping. So I guess the question is, how much is too much detail?

The Operations Working Group is looking at what it take to deprecate HTTP Basic Auth and OAuth 1.0a in favour of OAuth 2.0 on the main API in order to improve security and reduce code maintenance.
Some of the libraries that the software powering the API relies on for OAuth 1.0a are unmaintained, there is currently a need to maintain two parallel OAuth interfaces, and HTTP Basic Auth requires bad password management practices. OAuth 2.0 libraries should be available for every major language.
We do not yet have a timeline for this, but do not expect to shut off either this year. Before action is taken, we will send out more notifications. Deprecation may be incremental, e.g., we may shut off creation of new applications as an earlier step.
If you are developing new software that interacts with the OSM API, use OAuth 2.0 from the start. Non-editing software can require authentication support, e.g. software that checks if you have an OSM login.

Waymo
I used the driverless ride-share from Waymo to go from the Phoenix airport to downtown. The airport pickup location was a bit out of the way, so I added a taxi stand point on OSM.
Many neighborhoods had building footprints added in Phoenix in just the past 2 years. I was able to add some details to trails or new construction.
Wisconsin and the U.P.
I’m planning a summer bicycle trip from Duluth, east through Wisconsin and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. There are gravel trails along highways (likely old rail lines) which are commonly used by ATVs and snowmobiles. OSM coverage of these is good. What surprised me on Google Maps is that huge swathes of this area have one low-res StreetView from 2008-09? This might be an entry point for Mapillary and others. I’d like to use this and/or tagging to find bike racks.
Durbin Feeling Language Center
I recently listened to a talk by Chris Skillern (New Leaves: The Cherokee Syllabary in the 21st Century). The Cherokee Nation opened this new language center building in Nov. ‘22, but none of the stories gave its address, and it wasn’t a point on Google Maps. Looking up older news articles from when the building was selected, I found it nearby. Then I saw that the Bing imagery included new construction which was not present on Maxar. Typically I had thought Bing was older? But maybe that’s getting a refresh.

Unique Mappers Team, Nigeria organized a training session to commemorate the International Women’s Day. Attendees of the program were trained on Digital skills. I was privileged to deliver a lecture on Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Marketing as tools of Digital Marketing. The program was enlightening and motivating, as women were reminded that their dreams are valid, and we could be anything we’ve set our hearts to be.

It was a privilege to be one of the Panelists of the IWD hosted by the HOT, North and West Africa Hub. Theme: “Safe Spaces for Women”. It was insightful. English and French were used as a mode of communication and I like that. Teg-Wende and Carter agreed that the submission is being taken note of and that women and girls will be given more attention.

Als ich meine Karriere als Kranführer begann, hatte ich wenig Interesse an meinem Beruf. Ich dachte, es sei nur ein Job, bei dem man ein paar Knöpfe drückt und schwere Lasten von einem Ort zum anderen bewegt. Doch als ich meine Arbeit auf der Baustelle aufnahm, wurde mir schnell klar, dass ich mich anstrengen musste, um erfolgreich zu sein.
Ich hatte das Glück, dass ich in einem Unternehmen arbeitete, das erfahrene Kranführer beschäftigte, die mich bei meinem Wachstum unterstützten. Ich erkannte, dass das Kranfahren eine Kunstform ist, die eine Menge Konzentration und Präzision erfordert. Ich begann, mehr Zeit in meine Arbeit zu investieren und mich auf meine Fähigkeiten zu konzentrieren.
Heute, Jahre später, bin ich ein erfahrener Kranführer mit einer Leidenschaft für mein Handwerk. Ich liebe es, die Kontrolle über den Kran zu haben und schwere Lasten sicher und effizient zu bewegen. Ich weiß, dass es nur durch harte Arbeit und Anstrengung möglich ist, diese Fähigkeiten zu perfektionieren. Ich bin dankbar für die Erfahrungen, die ich gemacht habe, und stolz darauf, dass ich meine Karriere als Kranführer mit Ehrgeiz und Engagement aufgebaut habe.
Wenn ich einem jungen Kranführer einen Rat geben könnte, wäre es, dass er sich bemühen sollte, seine Fähigkeiten zu perfektionieren und sich in seine Arbeit zu verlieben. Das Kranfahren ist eine lohnende Karriere, aber es erfordert Anstrengung, Geduld und Hingabe. Wenn man diese Eigenschaften mitbringt, kann man ein erfolgreicher Kranführer werden und sich über eine erfüllende Karriere freuen.

Unique Mappers Team (UMT) organized a meeting for the Keynote speakers, Panelists, Trainers and School Outreach Volunteers on Mar 6, 2023 ,12:30pm to 1:00pm (GMT+01:00) West Africa Standard Time, via the virtual platform -Zoom. The purpose of the meeting was to conclude and finalize on the plans which have being put in place for the International Women’s Day event, which will hold from 8th March - 22nd March, 2023. It was a great avenue to discuss with people of like minds.

Really excited to have joined the meeting where updates were given by the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) as regards the forthcoming 2023 State of The Map Africa Conference, which is designated to hold in Cameroon.
